WPLP's A Christmas Carol Lives!

Thanks to Mike Serio who rescued the original tape and lovingly restored it, and Captain John Tadrzak of Misfits Audio, the 1985 WPLP presentation of A Christmas Carol is once again available for listening. The cast includes David Fowler, Bob Lassiter and Don Richards among many other staff members of the time. The show itself is wonderful, but just hearing David Fowler's narration will bring a thrill to Tampa Bay talk radio fans of a certain age. You can stream it or download it at http://misfitsaudio.com/comments/archives/675#more-675 May God Bless Us! Everyone!

Mike..what a great chunk of history..Makes me want to go to Lenny's of Clearwater for eggs..or Lena's restaurant..or Bridges' Family Restaurant. That David Fowler could sell a restaurant like no other..He was awesome!

Thanks for fixing that before the oxide flaked off forever

Many radio boards reflect a lot of nostalgia for old music stations.

Tampa Bay is probably the only market that gets nostalgic for old TALK stations... and with good reason!
