WPLW

Does Pulse have a translator on 101.1? I couldn't find a listing and I'm hearing the broadcast in Myrtle Beach. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

You're hearing Burlington, NC-licensed WZTK, which just dumped its news/talk format at midnight Tuesday and is rebroadcasting Pulse until its new format debuts.

Thanks for the info. Getting a lot of Triad & Greensboro tonight.

Wait. WZTK is going Espanol?

Yep... supposedly Curtis will reunite WZTK with former simulcast partner WYMY to simulcast WYMY's current format "La Ley 96.9, with the flip supposedly to take effect overnight tonight. Ironically, they are going in the opposite direction of CC's WPTI, who flipped from Spanish "La Preciosa" two years ago to its current "Rush Radio." As far as signal strength goes, however, a La Ley simulcast on WZTK will fare far better than La Preciosa did on 94.5 (the eastern fringes of the Triad get bleedover from Raleigh's WQDR on 94.7).

Speaking of WPLW, Curtis should REALLY put Pulse on 102.9. I think it would have a lot of potential if it had a better signal. The performance is quite impressive given that it's a simulcast that certainly doesn't cover the whole market well and Pulse 102.3/102.5 already outperforms Kix 102.9 who has the decent signal! 100.7 is the classic hits station now.

Well, the 101.1 simulcast of Pulse was fun while it lasted...

it would take all 3 signals to give them full market coverage 102.3 102.5 and 102.9...there were parts of raleigh where 101.1 was giving full quieting stereo but 102.3 or 102.5 couldnt deliver.
