WPOP now simulcast on 105.9 FM HD2

I don't know when the simulcast started but I first noticed it last night. WHCN HD2 previously has classic rock. I thought WPOP would be on 97.9 HD2 if WUCS ever went HD.

In other HD news, still no HD for 92.5 WWYZ and WMRQ 104.1 HD1 is out of sych with analog.

The release at rockcats.com says the Rock Cats home games -- on WPOP -- will also be on 97.9 HD2, not 105.9 HD2. Maybe the WPOP simulcast on 105.9 HD2 is a temporary move until CC gets HD fired up at the new 97.9 site. Although the neglect of 92.5 suggests that nobody there gives a crap about the HD and its audience of hundreds, maybe, anyway.

I've read that about 12 million receivers have been sold nationwide. Hundreds seems a fair estimate for any one station.
