WPOP to be featured on XM Friday

For all you oldie-philes out there, XM6 will be doing its "Sonic Sound Salute" to WPOP this Friday from 4-9pm. Terry Young does a great job recreating the sound of the stations he salutes, using the original jingles, airchecks, and more... should be a good time. You can get a free two-day trial of XM at their website... you don't have to be a subscriber to listen.

qunewsguy,

Thanks for the info.

1410WPOP, know as "The Music Revolution" at the time, was legendary & heritage.

Great music & memories.

Friendly competition w/crosstown rival WDRC.

Greaseman, Jack Armstrong, Joey Reynolds.

Forgive my ignorance, but do they feature a different radio station each week or something? We have an XM receiver set up at work, but I'm not usually at work at 6 PM on a Friday.
