WPOR's Harry Nelson movin' on...

so says the official word. he'll remain with the station until a qualified replacement (programming, on-air, etc) is located. he'll be missed by more than a few of us in the market - but here's hoping that next adventure is better than the one before.

Harry is an original and one of the best... I was quite proud to be heard on his radio station. Best of luck, bud!

and to help clarify some things that have popped up on the Internet - Mr.Nelson is NOT retiring. although possessed of a retiring personality, he does have an iron in the fire that will offer him his next broadcasting adventure. he is blessed with that rarity in radio - lots of time between now and then. so he is willing to work with Saga and whomever is tapped as a replacement to facilitate a smooth transition.

i echo Joe's sentiments - Harry is the best.
