WPPA ,another dying Indian

@Jack Daily

I've never seen ratings published for this area, SchuylkillCounty. In fact -- if my facts are actually straight, lol -- I don't think they even TAKE ratings for here; that some methodology is distributed in Schuylkill but gets applied to count in adjacent markets like WB-Scranton, Allentown, Reading etc.
WHP isn't exactly a traffic-stopping gangbuster here in North-Central Schuylkill. The muse here is that WHP would show up well in county places like Pine Grove, Hegins and Tremont, much the same way that KYW 1060 would place in Orwigsburg, Schuylkill Haven and Deer Lake.
Similarly-formatted to WHP, AMer WAEB 790 Allentown is a veritable beacon (only in the day) in the most densely populated radius, that of around county seat Pottsville. Methinks WAEB would tend to interest any stray AM radio Skooks who might be out of WHP's range. WHP is 'there' on the dial, but not as present as WAEB despite its generous spot on the dial.

, Just yesterday, Nov 4, drove along Nichols St. in Pottsville. It's a residential street between two mountains that runs parallel to the highwayish Route 61 through there.,

WPPA's five sticks are still there. Like the five dots on a die. Recent bumf has them omni now, down to 3000 watts day* and 22 watts night**. Their FM at 105.9 is the new puppy with a ribbon on it.
Have never seen any of the five towers lit up. Been here 30 years now.

* formerly 5000 day, loosely E-W directional
** formerly 500 night, primarily directional South
