WPPP-LP 100.7 Athens

I'd just like to comment and say... this is one excellent LPFM. Most of the LPFMs I've heard or read about have been religious, just like so many others on the dial.

This is different -- this station plays rock music without commercial interruptions. It has the feel of a college station, playing many obscure tracks, but they don't have the virulent anti-commercial-music bent of most college stations. They do however have an enormous playlist.

Athens is the perfect city to have an LPFM too. Their signal covers most of the densely populated area, downtown, and the University.

Sounds a little bit like what WXRY-LP is doing here in Columbia, SC. They are doing a non-commercial Triple A format that sounds good.

If only there were more stations like that nationwide.
