WPPX-DT .1 and .2

For those who like some old classic shows, including 'Beverly Hillbillies', 'Ozzie and Harriet' and 'I Married Joan' plus movies, you can watch them on WPPX-DT .2 (Pax) This has been going on for some time now, but I wasn't aware until recently.

I wish they ran 'Andy Griffith' and 'I Love Lucy'. The primary .1 channel, which runs the same primetime, runs infomercials during the day. The primary channel is carried on cable, but will be dropped by DirecTV.

The reason they show those shows, and not "Lucy" or "Andy Griffith" is that those shows (including the first season of "Beverly Hillbillies") are Public Domain, so they don't have to license them.

It's an amazing way to run a station on the cheap.
