Televised lottery drawings are yet another relic of the pre-internet, pre-smart phone days. There's no reason in 2026 for state lotteries to be paying for time on a TV station or producing a daily YouTube program when the results can be posted online almost immediately. The few players who still shun the internet can always wait for the late newscast or the next day's newspaper, or go to the store and check the numbers. The prize money will still be there in the morning -- or for the next several months to a full year, actually.
I'm surprised the televised drawings have lasted this long, frankly.
