WPRI Providence Pictures

Not bad for a small set.

Personally, I think the way they merge all-caps with all-lower case in the word "EYEwitness" is lame.

Yeah decent for a small set now that I see more of it than usual in that wide shot. I still think it's the largest News set in Providence. WLNE is the smallest, but I like it the best! Go figure. Usually only large sets impress me. But WLNE really has a cool color scheme with some nice moving light effects during the broadcast. They did a great job. The weird thing about WPRI is that is looks like they only built half of the building. Pull up the station on Bing Maps. Look at the Birds eye view. They could have made the building exactly twice as big as they did. But for some reason it's in a weird pie slice shape. It's to bad. They could have had a real nice sized studio if they had finished constructing the damn building.

I think WJAR actually has the largest set, they just use it horribly. Notice how there are multiple small areas of the set, but you never see a full view of it. I think, based on what I have seen on the behind the scenes stuff, that they could easily reorganize it to make a big, nice looking set, but seeing that they are owned by Media General, that simply isn't going to happen. Also, the last time their set was updated was in 1995. Way to go.

Well WLNE could have all the money in the world. There is still no way to make a room bigger. They are stuck with that one studio no matter what. At least they make good use out of it by having a set that is pleasant to look at. I wish WJAR could manage to do that.
