WPRI Channel 12 reporter Viviana Hurtado is leaving the station to take a job as the North American correspondent for Al Jazeera International. She will be reporting for the 24-hour English-language Satellite, Cable, and Internet network all over the United States...as well as Canada and Mexico. From what I understand, this network is not run by the terrorists or Bin Laden. Viviana has been with WPRI Channel 12 for the past two years.

not at all. Al Jazeera is an independent television network based in the country of Qatar (a very liberal country in the muslim world) and is starting an english-language channel (Al Jazeera International).

Just because an international arabic-language channel exists doesn't immediately make them supporters of terrorism. If you believe the propoganda, you may as well believe that Osama bin Laden is directing the 6:00 newscast.

Viviana is very talented and multi-lingual so she'll fit in just fine.
