For about 2 weeks now (more or less) when Tony,Steve,Michelle,TJ
display the graphic for current temperatures, it has been showing
150 degrees in the North Kingstown area. I don't know if it is a
computer glitch. But I'm suprised nobody has picked up on this
consistant error.

That's very interesting... I don't know quite how it's happening, but I CAN tell you that those current temperatures are automated and updated by the computer....and the talent doesn't even usually see the graphic til right before or when they're on the air...

That being said, it SHOULD get fixed!

<font color=blue> Ten had a debut for a female M'gist who's surname I didn't get but Dylan (Dillon?)was intro'ed by Patrice. Five staffers and 2 part-timers seems a bit much but that's the way it goes now .</font>

A similar problem on Rhode Island News Channel

I've noticed that too on Channel 12 and they always ignore it on the air! At least take it off the screen until it's fixed. I've also noticed on the Rhode Island News Channel that the temperature in the lower right corner of the screen is always WAY off. Today at 3pm it was going back and forth between 99 and 100 when the actual temp was 85. It does this all the time. It's always 10 to 15 degrees higher than the actual temp. When it was 93 in Providence last week, it was reading between 110 and 120! How can they not notice this? I'll admit I hate the Rhode Island News Channel, but someone should get the thermometer out of the sun or get a new one! <P ID="signature">______________

I wouldn't count Art Lake as part of the weather team, so ten has four full time members of the team(Ley,Heim,Ghiorse,Bates) and two part-timers (Latham and this new woman). It is a bit extreme but Gary takes a lot of time off and RJ does a lot of reporting during the week. Also, remember this new woman is probably a replacement for Jim Corbin who left for a position at ABC 6.

Here's the deal Latham and Corbin are/were day hires as fill ins only. Corbin left for LNE for permanent PT. This new hire is FT replacing Art Lake on the depth chart. Art has retired. The new person will do the noon first and a year from then take over the morning as Ghiorse retires. Kelly Bates lost out on this one.
