I checked out Dan the other day and it was kinda of Blah at the least.Buddy in the afternoon is'nt doing it for me either. I think they should switch them back
 
Yeah, but if they are both blah to you, does it really matter if they switched them back? Either way you get blah. LOL
 
I find the Buddy sounds more angry and more Johnny One Note in afternoon drive. Yesterday he was interviewing Colonel Dougherty of the State Police and he kept grilling him about the Providence Police investigation, and the Colonel didn't want to get into. No matter how many times the Colonel wanted to discuss other topics Buddy kept jumping onto Providence. Finally the Colonel pointed it out to him and he finally backed down. Yorke is not suited for middays, he sounds extremely boring. Granted it is only his first week doing the shift.
 
I agree with Danman, Buddy was trying so hard to get the Colonel to talk bad about Providence Police. No Go! He's boring, cause that's all he wants to talk about (Providence). We don't all live in Prov and it gets aggravating to hear the same thing every day. That's why we have the volume button down low and turn it high when Matt comes on.
Dan did sound weary this week too, but wait till he gets going! Our gang just really enjoys his style.
One thing we did notice, Buddy's voice is a heck of a lot better in the afternoon.
Not much clearing of throat or coughing as in morning. Could that be reason for shifting them.? Sounds silly, but think about it!!!
 
I don't think WPRO could have anticipated that Buddy wasn't going to be coughing up phlegm in the afternoon..LOL. I love the way people here think. haha. Dan may have sounded weary because he's being emotionally beat down by his own employer. Anybody else in his position would probably sound weary too. I'll tell you one thing for sure. Life isn't fair. Certain people who deserve the good breaks in life don't get them... and the ones who deserve nothing often become superstars! LIfe is wacky.
 
Mrs. Joy... would you please define Dan's "style"? I'm curious about your "gang" and what demographic you all fit into.
 
Dan talks about different TV programs he watches, and keeps late hours, I think, he is getting up too early and it is affecting him.

That may well be. BUT...for whatever reason..."Hizzonner" still has that cult-of-personality thing goin' for him. The "We-Love-You-Buddy" people....(the ones still alive, that is)....are still out there and still tuning in.
