Paul and Barbara are not deserving of our sympathies! They knew EXACTLY what they were getting into. When they hired DePetro they knew he was "toxic". Now, before you give me the line, "DePetro was forced on them from corporate. . . BOLOGNA!" If corporate came up with this hire, it was imperative that local managment put their foot down. Plus, the guy who supposedly orchestrated this whole thing (Mitch Dolan), doesn't even work for Citadel/ABC any longer.

In fairness to Paul, he has no power. The blame belongs squarely in the corner office for creating and tolerating such behavior. For years they have put up with Yorkes nonsense and Barbara has no balls to stand up to Cianci. Hindsight being 20/20, the Cianci hire was probably a mistake for economic reasons too. Dan Yorke should be put a very short leash. DePetro, at the very least, should have been fired after the Arbitron scandal. He shouldn't have been hired in the first place! Ron should go back to mornings. Buddy needs to learn to work alone and Dan needs serious supervision. Those heritage call letters need new direction at the very top. The problem discribed by the Phoenix is directly a result of BAD management. Salty must be turning over in his grave watching these egomaniacs.

But if Paul and Barbara are looking for sympathy, it's between SH_T and SYPHILIS in the dictionary.

Barbra Haynes is the most CLUELESS person in the business. She's scared to DEATH of the Bigwigs and if she were P.D. there'd be 12 hours of 'Chick Chat'. If I called her a Buffon, I'd be insulting Buffons.. She lets Buddy walk all over her.. It's like Tony Soprano telling Paulie what to do.

You would have to be a complete moron to believe that Steve White meant most of the stuff he said on the air.

About Depetro; Come on, He calls an activist woman Fat Lesbian, who actually called herself a 'Fat Lesbian'
and that gets him fired! WRKO said the word 'Fat' got him fired. If you can't call a puplic offical
' skinny legged' or 'fat face' of 'friggin idiot', then whats the point? Radio has to often be outrageous.
If we can't have Freedom of speech, then thats bull crap.
