Not only proud of their lineup, but proud of their kick ass signal. I just came back from a camping trip today. I was in the backwoods of Maine since Thursday. 130 miles North of the radio station. I was in my tent and tuned in my trusty GE Super radio Friday at about 4:00 PM. I heard Dan York as clear as a bell give away some Patriot tickets. He was totally amazed that a caller answered a difficult trivia question correctly. I was totally amazed at the great signal I was getting.
I remember receiving WPRO up there on my parents car radio back in the 70's. But the car was almost literally on the beach and I don't think the signal was nearly as clear. However I was laying in my sleeping bag in the forest last night and I'll be damned. It's like WPRO was a 50,000 Watt station! It sounded like WCBS or WFAN does when listening in Providence. The signal was that strong. I figured that after the sun went down the station would just go away. The tent finally turned pitch dark and I'm listening to Matt Allen. He sounded like he was in the sleeping bag next to mine. I was amazed that the signal got better instead of worse! I figured there would be some inteference from another station on 630 from somewhere. But Nope. I was really blown away. The great signal was consistent. I listened for an hour before falling asleep.
So I just wanted to share my experience. WPRO has New England covered!
