WPRO

If Dan's screener was not so limited to the narrow areas of many of Dan's topics, Dan would have more interesting callers.

When we are home, WPRO is on all day, with exception of we do prefer Helen , and torn between Joe and Mika, Buddy and Ron.

As I have stated previously, good, diverse local talk shows are missing in Massachusetts, also governor number whatever always missing.

Fall River radio station on Saturdays does not have a screener. One major problem same callers and they talk for a very long time.

But, Steve and Tony and good hosts.

That takes all the fun out of it.

Ten years ago, when MSNBC's "Ed Show" host Ed Schultz was doing a local show on KFGO/Fargo, and I was the-dang-out-of-town-consultant, I'd hear him welcome each caller as "CALLER, YOU'RE NEXT."

I suggested that he greet each caller with first-name-and-town, since doing-so made the show more-relatable-to others-from-that-town (some-of-whom might recognize the caller's voice). To which Big Eddie replied, "We don't screen 'em! That takes all the fun out of it!"

Good thing he didn't follow the consultant's advice!
'Looks like he was onto something.

I think his new TV show needs to abide by that same formula to get a spike in the ratings...

I think (and the early ratings show) Ed Schultz was a big mistake for MSNBC.
If you don't know him from radio he's just another overfed blowhard. Give
Lawrence O'Donnell that slot. Someone who's smart and has something to say.

See? If you were a consultant, that's one thing. But no, you're a dang-out-of-town-consultant. ;) ;D
