It would'nt surprise me.What a shame?I'm wondering if Geraldo or Huckabee will be joining the line up.I hope this does'nt go any further and he's back on Monday.This does seem like a stalling tactic though to see if they can Blow him out....
 
What sort of tales could Tara and his previous producers tell? I doubt the old dog has just learned some new tricks. Just waiting for more shoes to drop if you know what I mean.
 
Also, how far back would u have to go to get all his old producers/coworkers to show his true character? He had another timeslot on Wpro, he was on Whjj, he was on in Boston. Gather them all up as character witnesses for the trial. Maybe it won't even go that far.
 
I love Depetro as long as he doesn't get any of his goons to beat me up. Seriously... I was always a fan of his. Loved his show on HJJ. Had a nice little cable simulcast to go along with it. It was great! But somewhere along the way things got really screwed up after he started working at WPRO. Now it's just incident after incident. Maybe it's time for him to go somewhere else for his own good. Go to a new town and get a fresh start.
 
To me Depetro jumped the shark a long time ago. Perhaps another cable access show ala Steve White is in order. Driving around tormenting people one at a time instead of reaching his victims with the help of radio. Seriously, he's a perfect example of an ego gone out of control, now reaching the point where his family will be dragged into this. Not feeling the wrath of this industry when he broke the golden rule of diary fraud pretty much gives his type of personality carte blanc to do what they want and think they can get away with it.

it was evident in his show topics his last few years as well. That Woodmansee interview he did was dispicable. Exploiting that poor man like he did. Last time i ever listened to him.
 
Started in Boston when he wasn't in the local spotlight. Boston didn't go well at all and that's when he attacked Yorke at a remote, then the Grace Ross thing gave Wolfe an opportunity to dump him. Unless he can get back to HJJ, he may have to pack his bags.....errr well he's probably already had to do that.
 
If "Teflon John" gets desperate enough, he could always take the Steve White example one step further.....buy time on a station and try to broker it out himself.

I'm sure the Peter Arpin "Empire" would be more than happy to sell him a block of regular air time on 1320-WARL. ;D ;D ;D

His Teleflight TV show was interesting as well, no clips on youtube as far as I can tell. I remember one episode he drove by the Providence Place mall during it's construction and announced something to the effect that it would fail and it would turn into section 8 housing..."Clothes hanging from pole to pole"...

DePetro has referenced Steve White a few times over the past few weeks and his style, maybe he's thinking of satellite radio if he gets booted from WPRO.

Do u really think he's done? I think Wpro suspended him to save face. Yeah let's look like we didn't f up by ignoring the accuser's accusations. We'll suspend him for a few days & hopefully it will blow over. Ooops unfortunately, David Caprio's name is now in the story as well.

True or false, accusations like this are difficult to prove. It's her word against his & no one here really knows enough to take sides. DePetro's comment to Bob Plain that his advertisers will determine his fate is correct. If he doesn't lose sponsors, this controversy is over. He's a celebrity bad boy & both the media & public love celebrity bad boys. If he continues to pop up in the center of future controversies, Cumulus might look at him as too high maintenance, but that's about it for now unless Dee has an ace up her sleeve.
 
I was screwing around in the studio one day a couple of years ago. Thought it would be funny to write a song parody about Dan Yorke and his troubles at the station. Mainly them bouncing the time slot of his show around and if that was a clue as to if the next step would be Dan ending up out the door. But I never finished it. As a matter of fact, I only recorded a minute of it. It's a parody of Ozzy Osbourne's song "Dreamer". But since Dan screams a lot, I titled my song "Screamer". It's a shame I never finished it. I had some good lyrics written. I just lost my motivation to finish it.

But now it seems like it may fit John Depetro even better. So either way, I'm just going to post the thing since I went to the trouble of recording it. It has potential if I would only finish it. But for now it's just a Demo that was never meant to be heard. I just happened to find it.. so here it is. Should I finish it or not?

Sexual harrassment is no laughing matter. Cumulus is named in the complaint. All there needs to be is one cooberation from another source (and Dee must feel that she knows she has that cooberation).
