WPRO's Dan Yorke stands UP to Buddy Cianci!!

Finally, a WPRO personality stands up to the stench of a convicted felon . Today on the Dan Yorke show, Dan said he was 'ashamed' of Buddy Cianci!
How many people at WPRO have told others how ' offended' they are to have Cianci working in that historic building. None of them would DARE go near a
conversation about Buddy and his recent past. His CRIMINAL record.. How a talk station that 'portrays ' themselves as the conveyor of righteousness and
have 'Spanky' gangstering up the building is the greatest of hypocrisies. I was personally told General Manager Haynes issued a virtual ' ultimatum ' to
WPRO staffers to ' avoid ' any criticism of MR Cianci.. What a dispecable display of Bullying by an employer.. Prehaps MRS Haynes should visit some of
MR Cianci's ' victims' .. Prehaps G.M. Haynes should take a course in 'Ethics '. Codo's to Dan Yorke. The only ' Fearless ' man or woman in Salty's shack...

Who the hell is she, HITLER? So much for free speech on the radio. Yorke better watch out. He may get marched into an oven now. What a bunch of BS. This is the very exact thing that I hate about the business. A bunch of suits sitting behind a desk always trying to kill your creativity. F THAT! I'm on Yorke's side today. Not because he went against Cianci, but because he fought against a Bullsh*t ultimatum and won.

So why is Yorke ashamed of Cianci? Something specific or just in general that he's Buddy and he's there?

I think you have taken Dan’s comment out of context. He said it, but he was specifically referring to Buddy’s presence at the event held at the Federal Reserve.

Now as far as Buddy goes, you have a right to your opinion. What did you expect Buddy to do when he returned from the Federal Pen….work in a soup kitchen? He was given five years and he served five years.

I heard the whole thing. My hearing of it was Dan was FED UP with the whole """Buddy Thing""" Both the Event and Buddy's working at the station.. as a sacred cow.. Thats not the first time Dan has stepped up about Buddy anyway..

Maybe I'm missing something; but if it had been JD or Matty or Salty or Kass, he would have said the same thing about them because he was talking about ALL OF THE MEDIA that was there and obliged to the "Media Blackout". And Dan is absolutely right, even though Buddy did talk about it Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of last week a bit in passing, the stations (TV and radio) should have covered it better, WPRO included. Just because it is Buddy, don't make more out of it than that. It was Bob Burke who interjected Buddy's name into the conversation in his smarmy way, thinking he was going to get Dan called into the principal's office, missing the entire point that Dan was assailing all of the media, even his in house brethren, for dropping the ball.

Also, it is usually something that gets reitterated through out most stations, you don't bash other hosts on the station. Dan also has made these comments in the past about the Newspaper Guild Follies.....

Now that there is no more Paul Harvey. Buddy is off the air by 1:45 pm.With a 15 minute window before Dan comes on. I noticed this all last week that Buddy did not stay to finish his show at all.Very unprofessional.

Maybe that's bad advice since the one person who used to bash everyone at every station he worked at was Howard Stern. He doesn't seem to be doing to bad.

Something inside me tells me Dan wont be sticking around after a year or so.The way things are going on the trail with the tightening of the budget belt. There will be a change on WPRO weather its voluntarily or a business decision.I know of one change that is going to happen on the trail in the next month that is coming from the top to save money.

So what's the change? You don't work there. So Nobody can fire you. Spill it my friend. ;)

Coman 360-
you well know that Dan was criticizing the whole media which covered up Billy "Blackjack" Murrphy's party. Too bad you don't comment on Dan's daily bashings of the current Mayor, an as yet UNconvicted felon who "bottoms" for an assortment of well-endowed college age black and hispanic males.

The only ""BlackJack"" I knew was Delsanto.. A made man (Mobster) who worked for Spanky ( Cianci).

Mayor Cicilline is a ticking timebomb. I heard from fellow officers of Cicilline in various places with
teenage boys. As you know . If you want me to tell you who's worse, flip a coin.
