WPSG CW 57 moved on Ocean County Comcast

I see the Comcast in Ocean County, NJ moved WPSG CW 57 from basic cable up to its digital tier with WCAU NBC 10. More Philadelphia local channels being moved up to higher packages. I guess Phillies fans can watch CSN-Philadelphia on basic cable in Ocean County but have to pay extra to watch the Phillies on broadcast TV. Does anyone at Comcast have a clue what they are doing? I didn't get a chace to look at the Middlesex County lineup to see if they did the same thing on the East Brunswick system. Comcast in Atlantic City carries WPIX CW 11 on basic cable so Mets fans in Atlantic County are happy, but Phillies fans in Ocean, and southern Middlesex Counties have to get a digital box or set up the rabbit ears.

Mets & Phillies, it should be a good race this summer.

Patriot Cable in Hunderton County (Clinton, Flemington, I-78 west Jersey area) still carries WPSG CW 57 on basic cable ch. 17.

On March 1st, Service Electric dropped WPSG in Hunterdon and Warren Counties due to the fact that they could not reach a retransmission agreement with the stations owners.

No, not anymore. Comcast in the Atlantic City area moved WPIX into their digital service a few months ago (channel 254).

Service Electric services Allentown. In fact, most of Service Electric's customerbase is within the Philadelphia DMA, in which Service Electric carries WPSG.

I'd bet the reason they dropped WPSG in Hunterdon and Warren County is because either WPIX [Tribune] is pushing for The CW exclusivity in the NY market, Service Electric considers WPSG out-of-market as too duplicative with the NY channels, and/or its Phillies coverage for Northwestern NJ is extraneous - as in its not within the Phillies sports market anyways. The Phillies do claim Ocean County, however.
