WPTF

Why did WPTF already start making changes? I would figure in the talk radio game you would milk Rush and Hannity for as long as you can. Just checked out their website. Noticed there are no changes listed yet on that schedule, but I see they have a new morning guy. What happened to Scott Fitzgerald? I like him a lot!

Triangle radio is coming unglued. Splitting up the drooling that normally comes off of post-morning PTF and moving it to FM, so we get the other hate radio 'tards spewing at us crystal clear (boortz, the other 'tard, comes in loud and clear on WZTK) and what now passes for sports radio is not fit for human listening.

Bah, I got me a satellite receiver so I don't have to put up with the hate and the milquetoast sports talk.

At least WZTK has both liberal, conservative, and local shows in the schedule.

Fitzgerald will do 9AM-11AM, according to MSN.

With a post like that, you have no room to complain about hate.

That's right man! Political talk should be more milquetoast and sports radio needs more hate!
That's what they need! Balance! Or else I'll have to get me a satellitey receever!
[Additionally figuring into it, if it comes to that, are that all the buttons and knobs on my radio are broken or missing.]

speaking of satellite, did anyone notice that directv is punting xm in feb. that's a loss of exposure to 15 million or so homes

What happened to Coast to Coast am? I don't see it listed on the WPTF schedule anymore. Does WRDU get this program as well?

Coast to Coast AM is syndicated by Premiere Radio Networks, a subsidiary of CC. WRDU didn't carry the show, only WPTF, but not any more. Curtis is looking for a permanent programming change (Joe Wade Formicola was doing the overnight today). By the way, WLAC-AM 1510, Nashville has a good signal and is still broadcasting C2C.

Yes, WRDU and WPTI will both have Coast to Coast on, overnights.

WPTF's website is now mentioning the new line up and they also have a letter to their listeners about losing Rush. Apparently some folks thought WPTF dropped Rush and our good friends at Clear Channel saved the day by picking his program up. WPTF sets the record straight and shows a lot of class. Read it for yourself at: http://www.wptf.com/Article.asp?id=1642679&spid=35714
Kudos to the management at CMG and WPTF for setting the record straight for the unwashed masses.

I flipped on the radio just a minute ago. RDU has Coast to Coast on. PTF has Joe Wade Formicola on, live at "1:20, Monday Morning." He's talking about unemployment and the job market and taking calls at 860-wptf.

Yeah, I've got my hopes on WPTF for this Talk Radio war.

CC Raleigh finally has something besides G to crow about and they really didn't do a thing except blow up a great rock station, launch then destroy a crappy country station and steal some shows they already own to put on the same frequency. You go pellmell....walk proud!

What does this have to do with me? Seems like some nerves have been hit.

BTW, not only am I not a CC employee, I haven't been in the business for 20 years.

I’ve heard nothing on RDU to be proud of. Ten minutes was all I could take of the morning showing…sounded like a bunch of novices, no chemistry and no clue as to what town they were in. As for the rest of the day, just sloppy execution and really lame imaging. Not impressed, but pretty much what I expected. Back to iTunes and XM tomorrow. This is way too bush league. And how many times are they going to read the story about a leash law for cats?
