WPVI 6 LOGO

How long has WPVI-TV used its 6 logo? Seems like it has been around since TV was invented. Does any other US station has the exact same 6 logo, or is it unique to the station?

To my knowledge, ever since the calls changed from WFIL-TV to WPVI. That was either 1971 or 72...I think late 71. I can't tell you I've seen every 6 on the dial, but in my travels throughout the US, I've never seen it anywhere else.
 
WPVI has employed the 6 logo about as long as their news music package...

Yet it's good to not see it homogenized like the "circle 7" logo across the ABC O&O's across the country...

I hear ya...but you know when you see that 7 that you are watching an ABC affiliate!
I think I read something, somewhere that stated ABC wanted all of its O&O's and affiliates on channel 7. Sure did get quite a few!
