<font color=3333ff>Courtney Hicks is out from the morning show...... She was on the air on Friday, so I'm wondering if she left on her own or if she was forced out.

That's a shame, cuz she was GREAT on Middays. And I heard that Rocsi is going to BET, so why couldn't Courtney just go back to Middays. But, I'd probably want to get out of there too after the whole "lackluster" morning show fiasco from last year. Chicago will miss Courtney (again)!

This makes us wonder if Power will be skewing to 12-18/18-34 with this new morning show. Anything is better at this point, since they are below their 2nd book of their launch in 01!

Doug Banks was their anchor, and when he left, they sank. Not saying they should go backwards, but if history repeats itself with more "jumping off" the station, what else could they do !!

Only other option for mornings that I know of would be Russ Parr, but I don't see a return to syndication... supposedly the whole point is that they want to stay local.

But, I agree with TJ, they need to bring Doug Banks back... he has a lot of ties to Chicago and even though he's syndicated, it sounded to me like he did quite a bit outside of his normal on-air routine to "localize" himself with listeners and the station. It might be a different story if it was say, like Cincinnati or Portland or something (I'm just randomly naming places), but Doug has a strong radio history with Chicago and the show did well for Power.

Musiclover, you made me laugh this time!

I can take that as two ways:

..as in "They are not going to do Doug, and they are not going to do Dance." (as in similarities of 2 things that are far fetched) < -- actually funny.

..as in "They'd do better than now."
