WPXT 51 MY in Portland Maine

Wasn't it already announced some time back that WPXT-TV was going to be a CW affiliate?<P ID="signature">______________

No; I think that was just speculation. WPXT is the more established station in the market (WPME 35 came on in 1997), so it seemed that they would get the CW affiliation. Apparently that hasn't played out.

WPXT to be CW, not MY in Portland Maine

Not speculation. WPXT's General Manager has already announced that Channel 51 is the new CW affiliate in Portland. Fybush has it wrong this week.

Thanks for the clarification. I thought Channel 6, who does the 10pm news on 51, reported that 51 would be the CW affiliate. I'm curious as to what is to become of co-owned 35. Will they turn it into Maine's Shopping Channel?
