What's with these rumors mentioned on The Neil Rogers Show? On Friday, Neil read emails from both Tom Jicha from the Sun-Sentinel and Barry Jackson from The Herald stating WQAM is filliping to a Oldies/Sports hybrid format in March. Supposedly, the station is in talks with Greg Budell about Mornings and Johny Dark for Afternoon Drive. Is this a joke?

Sounds like a huge joke. Doesn't he get emails all the time from the 'Fake Tom Jicha' and the 'Fake Barry Jackson'? Outside of that I'm sure there are plenty of people on this board who can give you about a dozen reasons why it would never happen. Here, I'll start: the 55+ demo doesn't play well with advertisers.

I have sources inside Beasley that tell me their flipping to German Folk Tunes. They'll kick it off Friday March 12th at 8AM with "They Happy Wanderer." Can't wait.

It's just the fakers trying to stir things up.

By the way does anyone hate it when Jorge fills in for Neil.

He has absolutely zero understanding of a radio audience therefore it's difficult for him to do radio when he's in the driver's seat. For a host to be successful he has to be able to put himself in the place of the guy driving or listening at the office.

Mr Radio what do you think?

I could see Jorge holding his own on an FM talker, esp. if he had a good cast surrounding him.

Jorge's show isn't my cup of tea, but I could see how he would appeal to the Gen X crowd. Only problem being, the Gen X crowd doesn't listen to AM radio, do they?
