Is there now a pirate station in Medina? And if it's supposedly operating at the power they claim to, BAS Broadcasting cannot be happy with newfound intrusion on their WQIO/93.7 Mount Vernon. I smell a bunch o' BS here.
 
Adding to the BS factor... this supposedly was a move-in from Charlotte, NC ... but according to this cached Twitter feed (it now longer exists) the station only existed one full month:

Looking up the frequencies in Charlotte, there is no way in hell that this station EVER could have existed in the first place. It's a pirate, baby. Good job by their trolls in wiki for concocting something this elaborate; I give them an "A" for effort.
 
Interesting. I just went out and tried on my car radio, as I live on the West Park/Brook Park border. Only thing coming in here is Eagle937.

At first I thought the Wiki article said 15,000 watts, but I think its 15.000 watts with a period, and also states Class D. The webpage listed goes to 102 in Charlotte.

I just had to try, even though it's posted that's it's gone. Too bad, as pirates can be interesting to listen to. Last one I remember was one maybe 3 or 4 years ago on 91.9 that came in good around Lyndhurst, and purported to be from Canada, no call letters, but was called "The Voice Of The Islands" or something, given an impression it was in the Canadian side of the Lake Erie islands. However they always had specials about Cleveland on, such as tributes to WIXY, etc. I'm sure WIXY"s signal never made it out that far.
 
That "." on 15.000 escaped me... good eye, Danny!

I looked up the non-working media player on the "Q102"/"Q93" website, and it's traced to a "Michael Poòrman..." don't know if that means anything, though.

Medina? They could at least have grabbed an unused COL like, well, Brunswick or Strongsville. :D

The thing was clearly done by a fan of the old WQIO in Mt. Vernon, and the current WQIO could have problems with a station on 93.7 even in Medina... Heh.
