WQBU 92.7 Changes Yet Again

They had been carrying the national Univision America talk network, which has yielded very low ratings. Now they apparently air it only for a few hours during mornings. The rest of the day WQBU is now playing soft Spanish pop music. This morning I heard a DJ who gave his name as Ricky Lopez.
Only a few months ago, the station had been called Mami, and played older tropical songs. A couple of years ago they has been Que Buena, and played Regional Mexican music. Prior to that, they had simulcast WCAA when it was on 105.9.
It seems that Univision has not been able to find a format for the station that works well for them. Perhaps they may offer it for sale? But the less than full-market signal may significantly limit the size of its potential audience.

Perhaps the market is over saturated with these Spanish language stations. Has there ever been a Spanish language station in NYC that switched to an English language format?

WHOM 1480 is the first example. Radio Unica on 1660 is another. WBNX 1380 is another. WSKQ, which moved from one frequency to another (620, 1050, etc) is a further example.
