WQED names Jason Jedlinski as CEO

Jedlinski is named to run the public media outlet in July. He has managed operations at WGN-TV, Wally Street Journal, USA Today and the Hill prior to joining WQED-TV/FM.

WQED Multimedia announced on Thursday that Jason Jedlinski will become its next president and CEO next month, following a national search.

Jedlinski has spent almost 25 years growing digital reach and engagement for major media brands, including The Wall Street Journal, USA TODAY and WGN Television in Chicago. He most recently served as general manager of The Hill, launching a new streaming channel.

Known for securing multimillion-dollar sponsorships and successfully launching new products that attracted several hundred thousand subscribers, he is also considered a builder of teams through employee engagement, retention and talent development.
