Now that 103.9 made the move from Columbus to Tupelo, are we any closer to seeing 103.7 move to their new transmitter?<P ID="signature">______________

Probably won't be too much longer.

I posted about this same topic on a thread not too long ago. I usually receive a fair/poor signal from WQEN here in south Shelby county. For a short period of time a few weeks back, though, I was receiving 'QEN just as well as the other Birmingham FM's, so they might have been testing in preparation for the move.

Re: New transmitter

CHRISTMAS came in JULY for PD TOMMY CHUCK and the folks at CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40 WQEN (103-7 THE Q)/BIRMINGHAM. At 9p last night (7/13), SANTA delivered a signal move-in from SPRINGVILLE, AL (45 minutes NORTHEAST of BIRMINGHAM) to a 100,000 watt HD signal right in the heart of downtown BIRMINGHAM.

This upgrade gives 103-7 THE Q better coverage of the entire BIRMINGHAM metro, especially areas to the SOUTH and WEST of BIRMINGHAM. ALL ACCESS tried to get a statement from TOMMY, but he kept catatonically screaming into the phone: WHOOOOOO HOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! WHOOOOOO HOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
