WQEW Radio Disney Joins the iTunes Line-Up

I've heard the news that WQEW (1560 AM) which is still running Radio Disney since it's been on the air for 6 years is now streaming live on the iTunes Radio Tuner.

WQEW is one of the wasted 50kw radio station in New York City is carried too much Disney teeny pop garbage. Why if Radio Disney is now streaming on the iTunes Radio Tuner? That would bring the listeners who doesn't care to hear Radio Disney on 1560 AM in NYC. It could be now hearing in stereo rather than the AM static including a lot of coverage areas at night. I found this news as posted on the Disney Podcast Network forums.

Plus a few corrections

Radio Disney/AM 1560 signed on in NYC on December 28, 1998 -- three days after Christmas. That makes it more than 7 1/2 years ago.

Putting the station's music on iTunes is a no-brainer. Radio Disney is probably the only station in the NYC metro to feature the music from "High School Musical". The CD is the biggest-selling album of the year so far and the DVD is one of the year's biggest sellers.

That's saying a lot for a station that doesn't even show up in Arbitron.

Thanks for the comment. Radio Disney at 1560 AM in NYC is one of the wasted radio stations in NYC along with ESPN Radio 1050 AM and Bloomberg 1130 AM. That is the three stations that doesn't really show up in the ratings. Radio Disney is going nowhere in New York City, because the station 1560 AM is now steaming on iTunes as you might say it's a no brainer. Why did they put Radio Disney on an internet stream. They started back in April where they launch Radio Disney 2.0 which is an internet stream when they could listen to Radio Disney because WQEW where they were running that syndicated garbage since 1998. Radio Disney has been syndicated for 10 years, because WQEW was still playing adult standards two years before Radio Disney first went on the air in New York City. But why does Radio Disney is putting a stream on iTunes? Because WQEW had no ratings since they were running garbage on AM while the iTunes streaming version is carry the same thing as heard on WQEW in New York City at 1560 AM. That is a waste.
