WQJQ stunting?

When did this start? It's about time they did something. The station has gotten stale. They play the same crap over and over. Too much R/B-Soul and not enough traditional pop/rock oldies or "classic hits" as they like to call it these days.

They are calling themselves "The all new Fab 105 during the stunt"

Maybe Jackson will finally get that Contemporary Polka station we've needed for so long.

Best I can tell, it's pretty much the same station minus the 80's. A lot of hullaballoo bout nothin. There was a lot of hype about JDX in the launch and that they were now WJDX-FM, but since the launch I havent heard mention of those "legendary" calls. That it?

Now using the "Oldies 105.1 moniker....Looks like it's making a come back in several markets.Maybe venturing off into 80's got away from the core audience.what cha think? Just when some thought the term oldies offended some, apparently not..More boomers kicking in (a few kickin out)huge audience with money demos. If we could just convince these lame ass agencies, but that's a new thread...

What's with the pre-recorded jocks from other markets? Why couldn't they keep Mike Bridges, Jim Fox and Jan Michaels on there? That is pathetic.

I've tried listening, but its a major snooze fest. Except for the old Casey Casem reruns, its just the same old cookie cutter oldies that have been played to death. If you check old billboard charts you will find tons of great old songs and groups that had big hits back in the day. It a shame they couldn't squeeze a few into the playlists. I don't mean playing all lost 45's and obscure songs, but just a few to freshen up the format. It boring the way it is. Not much different from Q 105

The more things change, the more they stay the same. I hear no real difference between Oldies and Q105.1. Just the name and DJ's.

It hasn't changed that much. I don't normally listen to that station now but if it was for the change of the call letters I wouldn't noticed that there really is not much change when I did. What the call letter change reminds me of the days before WJDX-FM was a precursor to WZZQ. That was long time ago when I was visiting relatives in Forest where my Uncle lived. At the time I was living in Salt Lake City and would come back for a visit every summer.

Stereo Rock... WJDX FM. Wow! You're really going back now. As for the oldies format, would you really expect anything differant from Clear Channel programming? Worked for Clear Channel once. Been there, done that. Same cookie cutter programming from California to New York. WJDX FM or Q 105. It's still the same!

Yep same ole same ole but now with sterile jocks saying.."hey in 3 minutes I'll tell you about the upcoming Oscars"! Boredom central
