WQSA sold

According to All Access, WQSA-99.9 in Unadilla has been sold to a Spanish language radio company, titled "HAJAAAA COMMUNICATIONS, LLC" (yes, the name of the company is correct) for $350,000. It's kind of weird that about this time a year ago, the station had been a part of the Toccoa Falls College Radio Network playing Christian music, only to go talk. Now the station is broadcasting in Spanish. What's really the surprise here is that middle Georgia now has not one, but two Spanish-speaking radio stations, especially considering that part of the state doesn't have much of a Hispanic population, if any. It's a real surprise that Staton Broadcasting didn't go after 99.9, particularly since that company could've used a fourth station to add to its portfolio.

Any questions? Comments?
