WQSI Good news/bad news

Good news: The WKXN translator is off and the signal is pretty good through
west montgomery (at least in my car).

Bad news: NO BRAVES!!

Montgomery's translators

How many translators are left in Montgomery? Is The Tiger still on 104.9? Is Brimingham's Magic 96 still on one? WKXN had 3 at one time, right?

Didn't WIQR 1410 have rights to the Braves at one time, back when they were more 'serious' about being a sports station (current sports talk shows notwithstanding)? I thought they had that and UAB/Troy athletics to hang their hat on. <P ID="signature">______________

I was visitng Montgomery, last Tuesday. While visiting, I noticed the following.

I couldn't get 91.5 at all.

I could hear 91.9 very well.

Tiger 104.9 came in real well.

You got that third one right.

WKXN 107.9 could barely be heard.

I was in the Taylor Road area, when I was checking things out. My mother had a doctor's appointment, over in that area. While I was wating for her, I did some checking and surfing. For those wondering, she got a good report.

I did notice that WKXN 93.9 was off the air. The recent upgrade of WQSI would explain their sudden departure, since they came in very well.

WIQR needs to work on their sound quality. It was horrible.
