WQZS - Meyersdale

Since the station was taken off the air with the owners' legal troubles. Will there ever be a window for someone else to take over the 93.3 frequency? I recall somewhat when a station lost its license over a contest, it was a couple of years before another party could bid for the frequency. But in this area, being so remote, would this even happen? Or will 93.3 remain dark?

(Related but only geographically so)

Interesting, despite all the earlier bravado from American Militia , WHYU Meyersdale today submitted a cancellation request for their facility (FACID 763299). I wonder what is the background behind this cancellation.

Please read the filing carefully. They requested cancellation of their current Construction Permit, NOT their entire facility.

WHYU is quite a unique station. Hits from the 50s-90s of all genres, novelty "right-wing" comedic (?) songs. And Caravan to Midnight at night. I still miss the old WQZS though. Any word on what is going on with the FCC and the 93.3 frequency? Could any associate of Roger Wahl's perhaps not even a family member apply for the frequency?
