WQZY Dublin, Ga

Last night areound 11 PM I was able to pick up WQZY 95.9 from some 272 Miles away. I know this is not a record but is this usual for that station. ( Station was from Dublin, Georgia.)

You were probably experiencing some tropo. Tropo allows you to receive signals from a further distance than usual and decent tropo can last several days. Tropo has a relation to weather so it can be predicted, check out this site for maps:
http://www.dxinfocentre.com/tropo.html

This time of the year about the only active tropo is near the Gulf of Mexico, some people are able to use the Gulf to get stations from Texas in Florida and vice versa. When its warmer you'll see tropo pop up all over the nation on these maps but its still usually the strongest near the Gulf it seems.
