WRAK-FM drop Magic to Gen-X-Radio 97.3

Sure it's pre-packaged, but I have to admit, I have been checking this out in Louisville and Tulsa and LOVING IT! This sounds A LOT like 97.3 did when I worked there with John Dawson and Nick Vance. That was the last time this frequency had any numbers worth mentioning (1997-99). Nice job on this one CC!
 
I remeber when 97.3 used to be a Top40 back a few years ago before they went to hard rock then classtic rock 97.3 used to flip alot back in the mid 90's to 00. I like Gen-X Radio it's remind me of Top40 back in the 90's when I was in high school When Tallahassee has Wild 106.1 back in 1995-96

I remember when it was WJAD. I used to listen to a DJ named Chuck Bear.
 
Reader from Louisville here where CC launched the first GenX station, taking the place of a "jack fm" on one of the most powerful signals in the market.

Personally, I love the station. They play it all. We have no jocks at all, which isnt a good thing, but the variety of the songs is refreshing. Expect Run DMC, then Sheryl Crow, then Notorious BIG, then Hootie and the Blowfish, then . . . you get the point.
 
Doubt it. It would be a waste of the signal, plus I don't think CC Albany even knows where Bainbridge is (nor does WTLH). The Bearcat games have flip-floppped between WBGE and WMGR the last few years. The school district has bid out the rights, which as a (former) taxpayer, I'm all in favor of. Neither station seems to have had much problem selling them.

Me thinks the answer lies not in the location; but in how cheap this format is to run. Here in Louisville...there are no jocks...it's strictly the 'puter. And if you listen enough, you can definitely hear the loop.
