WRAL FM New Co-Host For Mornings.

From the WRAL.com website. WRAL TV morning host Lynda Loveland was named for the new Co-Host with Bill Jordan in the mornigns on WRAL FM. Lynda Loveland will start Jan 26. My Million dollar question is she gonna like this? Plus I have another Million Dollar question is why CBC doing this?

Why wouldn't she like it?
It's basically the same hours. Every morning I saw her on there, she seems to get along with the Bill and banters pretty well.
She wasn't doing hard-hitting investigative news anyway, so that won't be much change.

Answer #2: A. The easiest way out
B. To save money or at least not spend more
C. "Synergy" continues

Linda probably didn't have a choice. She's worked with Bill for years and was the most logical choice. Linda makes a move to radio without losing any salary and CBC doesn't have to hire another employee. One problem though...SHE DOESN'T HAVE A FACE FOR RADIO! Just kidding. She's a doll.

counterpoint: she has three small kids, so this will add to a MURDEROUS workload (plus the huge workload at home)

Isn't RAL-FM still in a different building from RAL-TV? If so, that commute between TV and Radio is going to be a mad dash . . . unless they install an ISDN line between buildings and put her in a soundproof room.

Later . . .

A very well respected radio manager in Raleigh once told me that you couldn't pray for a better competitor than Capitol Broadcasting. He said their sales reps are lazy, their managers won't rock the boat because they might lose their fat pensions, the owner mettles in everything. It looks like more of the same apathy with this move. They blew the chance to make some waves if they had hired Madison.

She will be doing the morning show with Bill in the same studio on Hillsboro Street. No more TV for her. That's what she said on the morning news on 5 this morning.
