Todays Asbury Park Press has a nice story on the Rats HD radio transmitter. I would have improved the signal first then worry about the HD Radio, the studio looks like a broom closet!!

They've been broadcasting from that "broom closet" for quite a while - going back to the WADB days ...
And, having just acquired an HD radio, WRAT sounds awesome in HD ...

Nope, sorry Tom ...
I got the Boston Acoustics HD radio, which came with a little dinky wire for an FM antenna ...
I did hook up a stronger antenna to it the other day - and the only other stations I got in HD were WRTI and WHYY from Philly ...
I get a majority of the NYC and Philly stations, but apparently not strong enough for the HD to kick in ...

Same in my car - other than SoJO, WRTI and WHYY are
the best of the Philly stations. WJLK will have theirs
on soon.

That listing doesn't seem that accurate. For example, SoJO 104-9 is broadcasting in HD down in South Jersey, and that's not listed. Neither is WAWZ (Star 99.1) which is broadcasting in HD.
