WRBP sold to EMF drops Urban format

It seems that there is a systematic attempt to axe off urban (R&B/hip-hop) music-oriented radio stations on the FM, and the excuses used has always been about "money" (like blacks aren't the largest consumer block in the nation). ::)

So true. That's why I don't believe the BS that is told to me whenever I talk about adding a 2nd urban or urban AC station in Houston.

Exactly. Somebody at CBS needs their head examined when they don't see the opportunity to being squandered away with that particular market. Radio One is as potent there as you listening to practically any urban programmed by Cox.
