WRBQ has highest Cume for CBS

For most of 2009, following the "downsizing" of the airstaff at WRBQ and the shift in music from 70-80's to 60-70's, pundits have been predicting it's demise and a flip to sports or Amp. Q105 has the highest cume of all the CBS station in this market. Does that mean the pundits now see it as a success, or still a candidate to go whatever?

Q105 is still safe as long as WSJT 98.7 is still around.

Until WSJT 98.7 is no longer around, that is...

This format works in LA, NYC, and Detriot. Seems too. Why would CBS flip Q with these numbers. Wouldn't 92.5 also be at risk? With WSJT hypothetical now sports, what does Q105 get flipped too? CHR would be competing with WLLD and is the under 34 set that big? AC as "Fresh"? Why.

92.5 is their Spanish station, right? The only FM in the market. Are you kidding me? They would be a fool if considering to flip format.

So WRBQ at number two ranking behind WDUV is about as significant as WDUV being number one? When Q's numbers were dropping over the last year after the "downsizing", they were as good as gone based on postings here . Of course WDUV has been going to go and the Point would flip frequencies with the X because kids still in high school have the most disposible income? I guess the slide of WHPT back to it's former low ranking actually is an increase cause this format reaches more people than anything else?

If Q105 has a cume close to 600,000 and ranks number 2, I still should expect that CBS will flip it as soon as WSJT goes sports?

Flip it to what ( more sports)? Anybody think they know? If they flip Q105, I'm moving to Detroit! Of course I can just stream a CBS Classic Hits station online. (Boy am I dumb.)
