COULD IT BE THE END OF THE LAME LITE'S REIN OVER HARTFORD?

They have an excellent execution for the format.
You have to remember that that format is supposed to be "lame" to any of us radio geeks.\
Where did you see the numbers?

RCH will get advertisers cause they are the only LITE game in town. As a former AE there I surveyed numerous potential advertisers. Many of them couldn't even tell you one personality on the station. A common response was " I just like the music they play". RCH is backgound music. People don't listen to it, they HEAR it.caliv said:Again I ask you....Show me these "falling numbers"
WRCH is doing just fine in arbs and BTW/ making TONS of MONEY.
I doubt there will be any changes anytime soon.
You have to realize one thing.....GM's, PD's Market Managers etc know that Arbitron is a joke.
It all comes down to MONEY.
If you make money you survive....If you're number one in the arbs with a 99 share but don't hit budget you're GONE.....104 anyone??

If there were only two choices (THANK GOD THERE ARE MORE) between RCH and listening to Jerry K on DRC do his DUMB faux celebrity interviews...I think I'd pick RCH! That stuff from Jerry is just BAD RADIO.
J/K works without a contract cause Wayne Mulligan is out of there. One of the many reasons J/K left back in 1997. Surprised he doesn't have an agent? Most CT radio morning show hosts in decent markets have a rep.caliv said:Buckley does NOT think Jerry is the real deal...he doesn't even have a contract.
