WRCH off the air for antenna maint.

WRCH was off the air for several hours this morning for antenna maintainence. They were off when I was walking to work at 7:30AM. My mom said they were back after 10AM. She said yesterday they mentioned on air that WRCH would be off for maintainence.
 
Was the "W"hite "R"ich "C"onnecticut "H"ousewife station installing an HD transmitter of some sort? (Sorry, I hate "Lite 100.5"!)<P ID="signature">______________

What I wonder is, why wasn't the backup site on the 910 towers fired up?
Last time I was in there, the transmitter was still there.
I wonder if the backup site isn't working correctly.
But then again, I'll just ask those who know =)

While on the topic of Lite 100.5 WRCH. How come it is hard to get WRCH on a small stereo that has a dial digital or normal dial? Could it be where I am, but in any car on 100.5 comes in just fine even on I-95 or on I-395 which is far from the tower. So why is this?
