WRCN shakes up lineup

Denis McNamara is now doing PM drive (3-7p) instead of AM.
Orlando moves from PM drive to AM (5:30-10a), along with new sidekick Glen. (I have only heard his first name so far. Is this Glen Calderone or another Glen?)

IMHO, with McNamara at the helm, they need to integrate more New Wave/80's WLIR music into the mix to differentiate themselves from WBAB. (They also need to find a permanent spot for Malibu Sue, who is underused as a bench player here and at Fresh 102.7)

I keep hoping the same thing, but I'm not sure that's going to happen. Back in the 80's, they tried adding a few alternative and new wave-y tracks, but backed off.

Bring back Tony Paige. Oh, wait, that guys sucks! ;) He told me he missed the days of people saying nasty Sh**T about him on a message board. Hi Long Island Radio geeks! By the way, love listening to Slacker Radio!

Was out there today and noticed the low bitrate audio is back. 'RCN is off my presets until they fix it...geesh what ever happened to pride in engineering? Considering John C. an engineer is part owner of JVC it's pretty embarassing to say the least.

Just to update, Orlando has been gone for a few weeks. The former "Orlando and Glen" show is now being called "WRCN and Glen", but there's no mention of the morning show on their web site. I still don't know if this "Glen" is Glen Calderone, as they haven't updated his shift info on the web site either.

It seems like they've had a lot of comedians on as guests in the morning, promiting their shows at Governors, McGuires, etc. Could these also be morning co-host auditions?

Actually, it's Glenn Meyer who previously co-hosted the "Double D and Glenn" and "Dave and Glenn" morning shows before JVC took over. George Kertis has also been a frequent side kick on the show.
