WRDU IS BACK!

So history don't mean nothing?
How we gonna know what worked in the past if we don't figure it into the future choices?

History means a lot to those who are smart enough to recognize that the situation is a repeat. It can save you if you pay attention. Unfortunately, there are too few people in management and leadership positions who know to do that. They aren't smart enough to query those who were around and saw it happen. The most intelligent managers are great listeners and observers. They know that there is great wisdom in experience. That's part of why CC failed. They got rid of or ran off all their experienced staff thinking they didn't need them. With the experienced staff goes all the knowledge and wisdom of the past. That's my humble opinion!

Yeah I know history loses to egos and arrogance all the time, but that don't mean there ain't no place for discussing it.
Shoot when the current crop of no-talent bean-counting losers finishes running their 3kw-100kw kitties into the ground, somebody's gonna need to be ready to pick up the pieces and make it all [or some semblance thereof] work again.

oh, for the days of Voyager Communications. They'd had that station back in the top 5 just in one book.

Justr heard the Legal ID on WRDU...they're now IDing as WRDU, Knightdale. Don't know if they've made the move to the Garner site yet.

If this is true is anyone in downeast notice a weaker signal now?

Yes, while nothing is perfection, the Owners of Voyager Communications were great managers and they employed great management and let them do their jobs. They also cared, I mean really cared, about their employees. It was a nurturing environment that inspired greatness and a strong desire to win. Their stations were the very best. We had to count the paper clips, but we had all the tools and we had the talent and we had the desire and the loyalty to our companies. What happened?????????

Sounds like they've gotten weaker even in Fayetteville, but that might be because I haven't listened long lately, or I could put up with more static and noise to listen back in the day when they mattered and am remembering those times. :'( :'(

"The signal is awful in Greenville now."

I'd consider the citizens of Greenville very lucky.

It actually took me a few days to realize that the seek function was going from 104.7 to 106.5 without stopping. Kind of sad really.

For the locals out to the west of the trianlge areas like Burlington, is WRDU signal stronger now thin it was before?

What about the low-power hip-hop station out of the GSO area on that frequency? I think the station was called Jammin' 106 or something like that...?

That station is called Jammin' 106. At one time it was called power 106 WEJM are the call letters for it.

One interesting thing about this is that WRDU is not in HD like the other three CC-Raleigh signals. Perhaps they're still making final adjustments or a cost-cutting measure? I know WDCG and WKSL didn't come online with HD until signing on from their new site in Apex (the old WLFL-TV tower)
