WRDZ 1300 To Resume Operations With An Emergency Antenna

Soimeone at polnet must be involved with rebel radio.. cant imagine why rebel radio would be on 1300 as a stop gap or 1500/92.5 near Zion.....they say they are on 1500/92.5 24/7 and it looks liek 92.5 is on a leased tower .. i cant imagine this internet radio station makes so much they can cover lease fees
would be cool if Rebel got 1300, 1500, 92.5 and 105.5 (Justice, covers near-SW suburbs) all working together.

though signal strength and modulation on 1300 has improved quite a bit over their tests in Nov.-Dec., the 800 watts should sound nearly as loud & clear as nearby in frequency WSBC 1240 — hopefully the engineers will tweak the signal more.

wonder why the FCC only allowed 10 watts at night…I actually heard the night signal last night from 20 miles away when the solar flare knocked out almost all skywave reception…

possibly lower power due to short-spacing with WKTA 1330 and WBIG 1280(?)

Negotiating with a buyer. Sure they are.

It looks like they really were. Polnet sells WRDZ to Rebel Radio for 30K as you posted in the other thread. I did not really expected that.

They could probably sell the associated gear theyre getting.. 2 5kw am transmitters and the 2 audio processors, turn in the am license and come out ahead

the sale does not include the 105.5 translator for 1300.. its not listed in the asset purchase agreement

Where is the failed AM stations equipment going? I was looking for a 1kw solidstate two summers ago and everything I saw was 30 to 50% of some new transmitters. That's too much for something used unless it was well taken care of. I doubt any failing station is spending very much to maintain their transmitter.

I was busy with work, family, and other things. Over the last 1-2 weeks, I have been getting Rebel Radio, on 1300. I live/work outside Hinsdale. How is 1500 these days? I don't get up that way.
