Wrecking Ball

As John Mellencamp said "The walls come tumblin' down..." The former studios for WHIO TV and radio stations WHIO AM & FM, WZLR and K99, on Wilmington Avenue in Dayton, are now just a big pile of rubble with that huge free standing tower still up in the sky. Their new facilities are excellent but there were a lot of memories for a lot of great radio people in that old building. The list of well known jox that passed through would take a long time to compile and read. My mom worshipped Lou Emm back in the day. Across the street, Stan's Donut Shop has probably taken a big hit! RIP in this case stands for Rest In Pieces.
