Wrecking Crew event at EMP

I attended KMCQ's screening of the Wrecking Crew film this evening (Thursday). Extremely well done - its an incredible story of Tommy Tedesco and a group of studio musicians who were the backbone of many of the hit songs of the 60's and 70's.(they performed in more than 5,000 songs altogether. I would highly recommend it - http://wreckingcrew.tv/story.html Hal Blaine, the lead drummer attended and provided some real insights into the history of the group. Some of the stories about how songs evolved are hysterical. The auditorium was sold out and everyone gave it a standing ovation at the end. They are in the process of clearing legal hurdles to release this as a movie.

Thanks for your thoughts on the Wrecking Crew event that KMCQ put together. We felt it was a great opportunity to bring to Seattle and the attendees/listeners truly responded.

You bet. I hope that KMCQ will schedule a follow-up -- Anyone who is a fan of that genre of music needs to see this film!
