WREO - Star 97.1 FM

I was in Conneaut, Ohio this weekend and noticed that the WREO signal was bleeding all over the FM band on my car stereo (2009 Ford Fusion). I could listen to their broadcast from 96.3 FM to 97.7 FM. Their RDS display was showing up on my car stereo on 96.9, 97.1 and 97.3. Is this happening to anyone else? If so, is there anyway to file a complaint? I like to listen to 96.5 WAKS whenever I am in the area (it comes in pretty clear south of Conneaut) but it is impossible now due to WREO's interference. This interference has been happening since early April.

I live near Geneva.....I too have similar issues with 97.1...

Your best bet is to notify 96.5's Station Engineer...Let him know that their signal is being trampled on by 97.1 in Ashtabula County. A couple of years back I had to do the same thing with 90.9 in Jefferson. It was bleeding over the entire college band. Eventually, I notified 90.5 in Erie, Pa. of the issue. They notified 90.9 about it, and within a few weeks the Jefferson station fixed it's problem.

Unfortunately, 96.5 may consider Conneaut to be outside of their range...So if you can find another nearby station that it also affects, notify their Station Engineer too.

I can hear WREO in Vermilion, OH pretty much any day, albeit it with a scratchy signal most of the time but sometimes it is fairly clear.
