WRFD AM 880 Translator @ 104.5

Talkers, Where are you located? In most of the market WNND 103.5 it the better choice for Rewind 103.5/104.3. WNNP is intended for covering from 270 North as it is only putting a weak signal south of 270

I am in the Reynoldsburg area and i can say that the new 104.5 is very week and fighting with the Lancaster Translator for WLOH also on 104.5

I'm on the West Side, and 104.3 used to come in better than 103.5. I have problems getting 103.5 inside.

I just looked at their license at the FCC.. It's interesting that Salem right before sign on got a CP to mount the antenna lower on the tower with less coverage than the original CP they had back in February. It seems to do OK in North Columbus and as long as it stays "mono" it should do well for central Columbus OH.

In the car 104.3 still is loud and clear in NE Columbus. I've always found 103.5 to be a better catch even before 104.5 signed on but for those on the west side of Columbus I can see 104.3 being a possible better option.

I live in Reynoldsburg only about four miles west of 103.5's tower, so it's just about the strongest station at this location. 104.3 also comes in quite well. But I noticed driving to Lancaster today that this new translator on 104.5 rips WLOH in parts in Pickerington where it used to be heard clearly.
I haven't listened driving around town to see how the new 104.5 affects 104.3, but am curious to do so. The dial is getting to the point of being ridiculously crowded in this town. The only frequencies that won't or can't be touched are those immediately next to the big frequencies.

And that's how you revitalize the AM band. Make the FM band as crowded, crappy and hectic as the AM band. That way FM will be on par with AM.

I always found 104.3's signal clearly superior to 103.5 in the Worthington & Polaris areas.

I've always thought they sound about the same in those areas as well as in Westerville. Any farther north, west or northwest of those areas and I agree 104.3 has the better signal.
Anywhere east or south of Downtown, and even up to Gahanna and New Albany, 103.5 is definitely better IMO.
