WRIS 1410 Roanoke

Congratulations to Russ Brown on purchasing WRIS! Now the challenge... What to do with an AM these days? It is 5kw days and a booming 72 watts at night. Russ is a clever guy. He'll think of something.

BTW, WRIS, which is about 60 years old, was called We're Roanoke's Independent Station.

(New format soon...)

He'll need an FM translator. Unless he wants to do prog talk. I hope Russ is smarter than that.

So far, nothing has changed. Wonder if the sale fell through?

And now that we're back... Has anyone heard anything new on 1410??

WRIS is now WRTZ and is a True Oldies Channel affiliate. The stream is clean, well processed and stereo. I hope it attracts attention to 1410.
