Writers Strike 2023?

After the show was picketed by WGA and SAG-AFTRA members. one of the show’s celebrity contestants is ‘pausing’ his involvement with competing on the show, and that would be Veepstar Matt Walsh.

Writers & Studios are back at the table hope this time there serious and that they stay at the table until the deal gets done that is the only way to get a deal done in my opinion. At some point the TV station groups will demand that Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Clarkson return to do the talk shows or they will be replaced by Byron Allen cheap filler or local news.
If streaming dies after losing all their subscribers, we can expect them all to be a single channel called the Everything Channel (working title)

The Price is Right at Night is taping 4 Christmas episodes next month for December. This is likely because of the strike and CBS needing programming for December.
I predicted more of those 'At Night' episodes, and I'm not surprised. CBS needs holiday programming and Rudolph and Frosty won't be enough.
My regular TV habits stopped during COVID and it still hasn't gone back to the levels it was in 2019...and I'm thankful. There's enough I'm doing outside of the "idiot box". Subbing in schools and being involved with church A/V are two examples. That doesn't involve watching reality 'contestants' or reruns. Even if the strike were to be resolved, terrestrial TV is dying and streaming is up. That's the reality of today. Children are leaving Nick/Cartoon Network on cable TV in droves, going to Netflix, Disney+ and Hulu for their cartoons. And the streaming era is impacting every adult demographic.

It would make little to no difference to the show if this "star" would choose to sit out this season. The cast was just announced a week ago and they're still weeks away from starting production, rehearsing and learning dances. There is more than plenty of time to replace this guy on the show if they'd need to - and considering how few know who he is or even care, strong chances are his absence wouldn't even be noticed.

Time to wean yourself off television, I guess. There's a whole big wide world out there away from the screen. Discover it.

Seriously, this isn't the end of the world.
I've got hundreds of hours of stuff I already recorded. However, I would like to see SNL lampoon current events.

They were going to fast track this season (They still might). The cast was announced the day they arrived for first meetings and rehearsals. It's still scheduled to debut Tuesday next against the America's Got Talent Finale Part 1.

I read this article this morning. It's from Yahoo Entertainment, so take it as you will:
The upcoming season of Dancing With the Stars has been facing all kinds of drama — both strike-related and otherwise — and is now looking to postpone the premiere after cast members have begun backing out.
Among its 500 or so staff members, Dancing With the Stars employs one WGA writer and therefore is covered by the WGA. Other performers are able to work on the show via SAG-AFTRA’s Network Code agreement, which is not part of the ongoing strike.
As strikers recently set up shop outside Dancing With the Stars, Walsh and others like Hannigan and Sorvino were also mentioned on picket signs. So Walsh’s move was most likely the start of what would be similar actions from other cast members.

If they agree to stop the strike, we will be back to normal in no time flat
If they disagree, i'll keep spamming them with the "3 Strikes and AI is Toast" campaign
